Dimitri Roberts
Founder/CEO

With over 20 years of experience, Dimitri Roberts is a dedicated National Security and Law Enforcement thought leader passionate about developing innovative solutions to reform the U.S. Criminal Justice System and Law Enforcement Operations.

To this end, Dimitri founded SevenStar Inc. – a firm that provides innovative solutions for Criminal Justice Reform, National Security and Veteran Affairs.

In addition, Roberts serves on the executive team of an advanced analytics company, where he currently leads a $70 million technology development program for the National Security Agency.

Prior to working in the private sector, Dimitri served ten years in law enforcement as a Police Officer with the Chicago Police Department with Federal Agency assignments to include the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and the U.S. Secret Service.

Dimitri was also the Principal for community engagement with Leave No Veteran Behind, a Chicago based Veteran run non-profit that provides employment for transitioning Veterans and mentorship for at-risk youth.

Dimitri is a retired Navy combat veteran with multiple overseas deployments. In his 20 years he served on assignments to the Pentagon, Joint Special Operations Command, and the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Dimitri was born and raised on Chicago’s South Side and attended Georgetown University.

Dimitri is a leading intellectual voice and current Law Enforcement Analyst for CNN, FOX, and CBS.

Kizzy Smith
COO

Kizzy T. Smith is an accomplished HR professional with over 20 years of experience.

She is currently the Vice-President of Human Resources for L’Auberge Casino and Hotel Baton Rouge. She played an integral role in the opening phase of Pinnacle Entertainment’s $368 million dollar project with responsibility for overall provision of Human Resources services.

Kizzy lead a team of 25 HR team members who hosted and participated in over 30 job fairs, reviewed over 50,000 applications, interviewed 10,000 applicants and ultimately hired 1500 team members. She is currently responsible for organizational development, strategic budgeting, compensation, team member engagement, benefits, performance management, recruiting and staffing for approximately 1200 employees.

Kizzy is skilled in leveraging strong business acumen and analytic capability to integrate HR and business strategies. She is highly effective in coaching/influencing/negotiating and managing conflict. She is a Six Sigma Green Belt with a broad based knowledge of recruiting best practices, employment law, immigration and government relations. Kizzy balances strategic thinking with tactical action to drive results.

Prior to joining the Baton Rouge team, Kizzy held the position of Human Resources Manager at L’Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where she played an essential role in opening the property of 2200 employees in 2005. Before joining L’Auberge, she held the Training/Employee Relations Manager title at Delta Downs Racetrack and Casino in Vinton, LA.

Kizzy’s HR experience dates back to the 1995, where she got her first start in the gaming industry as an HR Clerk for Player’s Casino.

She is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management and National Association of University Women. She has served on the Advisory Board for Louisiana Workforce, Career Innovations of America, Louisiana Culinary Institute and Tournament of the Stars, a non-profit organization in Lake Charles, LA providing scholarships and mentoring to high school students. Kizzy is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Kizzy currently owns and operates Workfleaux.com – an HR consulting and local job search website.

Kizzy holds a Bachelor from McNeese State University. She holds HR Certification from George Washington University for Internal Investigations, FMLA and HR Generalist. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. She is certified by John Reid and Associates for Interviewing and Interrogation. She has LA State Certification as a facilitator state sponsored small business entrepreneur courses.

Kizzy was most recently featured in the Baton Rouge Business Report when L’Auberge Baton Rouge was named Baton Rouge, LA Best Places to Work.

Robert Richardson
CFO

Robert Richardson has more than 10 years’ experience in Federal Government Contracting and specializes in Contracts Management, Business Development, Capture and Proposal Management. Mr. Richardson oversees areas of negotiations of contracts/subcontracts, financial management, invoice processing, cost proposals, and contracts administrative functions.

Prior to joining SevenStar, Mr. Richardson held Sr. Financial Analyst roles with Texton Inc. and Stanley Black and Decker. In these roles, he was responsible for forecasting financial results and would lead financial rhythms including month-end close, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other financial activities. While at Northrop Grumman Corp., Mr. Richardson worked as a Subcontract Administrator. In this role he was responsible for all cradle to grave contract activities to include, preparing bids, analyzing and reviewing terms and conditions, contract negotiations, risk mitigations, overseeing contract performance and contract closeout.

Mr. Richardson is a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) and is an active member of the National Contract management Association (NCMA). Mr. Richardson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Oakwood University.

Jason Lester
CCMO

Jason is a creative director and digital marketer with over a decade and a half of experience in studio, corporate and freelance environments. He continually strives to find new and innovative ways to help people and organizations tell their story, share their passions and gain new clients and supporters.

Jason is the Chief Creative Marketing Officer for SevenStar. His primary goal is to drive SevenStar’s creative, marketing and innovation direction across all current and future products and services.

As a creative leader Jason brings a proven knowledge of design strategy, concept development, campaign execution, customer experience, project management and communication to the table. As a leader he strives to inspire his team and challenge them to grow professionally and personally.

Starting as a web designer while he was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, Jason wanted to do more and to apply his creativity in as many forms as possible. Since then he has worked freelance, and in the private and public sector working for small businesses, multinational corporations, and non-profits. His work and experiences have been varied, including; website and, graphics design, education design, e-commerce platforms, user interfaces, advertisements, multi-channel campaigns, branding packages, style guides, photography and video production and editing.

Previously Jason was the Director of Design for Novetta where he lead the company’s brand initiatives and creative implementation of marketing campaigns, as well as provided creative direction and lead creative projects for multiple customers.
